3-Save Money on Health and Beauty

Save Money on Health and Beauty
Health and beauty products are certainly plentiful these days. Even the grocery store has aisle upon aisle of them. Soaps (plain and fancy), toothpaste, hairspray, medicine, razor blades, etc. These items can really add up in price if you aren't careful. Lets talk about some ways to save money when purchasing health and beauty products.Toilet paper, allergy medicine, contact solution, vitamins, shampoo, soap, makeup, etc. - the list goes on and on.Start purchasing these items for a family of six like mine and the costs can really go up. If I were to go to Walmart and purchase all the health and beauty products that we use on a regular basis at the same time - I imagine I would spend around $200. That is a lot of money! And in a month or so I would have to purchase it all over again, because it is a consumable product. Fortunately, it doesn't have to cost that much. I spend around $50 a month for all health and beauty items my family needs. The first thing I do is not to shop at one store for everything I need. I read the sales fliers carefully and try to
pick things up as they go on sale. I shop at several different stores. Many people will say that you should not purchase health and beauty items at the grocery store, because they are over priced. Well the health and beauty items go on sale at the grocery store just like the food does. I watch for the sales and them combine them with coupons. Onestore I frequent
doubles coupons and I regularly get toothpaste and toothbrushes for free. Other items are cheaper at the grocery store thanWalmart - when they are on sale and I have a coupon.
hopping around can save you lots of money - as long as you aren't wasting it on the gas to get to the store. I only shop at drug stores if they have great deals and if I am already going right by the store for something else. Walgreens has a
nice rebate program and each month I get a few items for free. You have to be very careful filling out your forms and submitting your receipts though, as they really scrutinize them. Getting the rebate amount each month makes my purchases generally free at Walgreens. I love free products, don't you?  CVS has a system that generates ECB's which are coupons that print off at the register for cash off your next purchase.
Once you have made a purchase to earn your ECBs then these ECBs can generally pay for the next items you purchase and the cycle keeps going. Many people get lots of free health and beauty products each month through this program. Many drug
stores will also accept manufacturers coupons on top of their advertised sales, which can make there deals really good.Another way to reduce your spending on health and beauty products is to reduce the amount you use. Do you always fill the
entire cap full of laundry detergent? Try filling it 3/4 full and see if your clothes still get clean. I can almost
guarantee you they will. How about lotion? Do you normally use two squirts for your hands? Will one do the same job? The less of something you use, the less often you will have to replace the item, which means a monetary savings for you.
Also, consider switching brands. Many brands will offer your money back if you are not happy. Save your receipts and try something different that is cheaper. It just might work great and save you some money at the same time. Using coupons
will help save money as well. Even if you are just shopping at Walmart, they still take coupons. You can save dollars off of items each week. Clip those health and beauty coupons just like you clip the food coupons. Cutting out the extras will also help. Do you really need a special moisterizer for your eyes or will your regular moisterizer work just fine? Rethinking how you currently do things is the first step to saving money.Health and beauty items are essential to daily life, however it is not essential that you spend a lot of money on them.
Pay attention to prices, sales and coupons and you can reduce your spending in this area quickly. Good luck!
